Tuscaloosa International Friends (TIF) is a community organization dedicated to providing opportunities for international students of The University of Alabama, Shelton State or Stillman College to learn more about life in the United States and for local residents to learn more about other cultures. Free English Classes! (ESL)

English classes are available at several locations in Tuscaloosa each week. Join a class to make new friends and practice conversational English. Classes are free and open to adults at all levels of English. Complete the registration forms linked below to let us know you plan to join the class!

International Connect is a special partnership of multiple churches in Tuscaloosa that desires to welcome international students to Alabama, serve them in practical ways, and help them become part of our Tuscaloosa community. Each year we provide furniture through our Furniture Giveaway. We also serve a traditional Thanksgiving Dinner in November, and in the spring we host International Prom. Each church's “International Connect” hosts their own special events, dinners, and service programs for the international student community.
